Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking leader to serve as Project Manager for the Navy Readiness Analysis Suite (NRAS) project team. This position reports to the Project Lead (PL) for executing team's software release responsibilities in support of the Navy Readiness Reporting Enterprise (NRRE).
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the PL in developing and tracking detailed project plans and schedules
- Identify obstacles and risks and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure clear communication of risks to project stakeholders and to management
- Create, monitor, and report project milestones and performance metrics.
Here's what you need:
- A minimum of 4 years of related experience, including supporting software development projects
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop rapport with multiple teams and stakeholders
- Proven analytical skills with ability to assess a complex situations or problems and design effective plans or solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills of both direct reports and matrix style cross-functional teams
- Willingness and ability to mentor and coach others
- Experience with strategic planning and requirements development
- Proactive thinking and attitude; self-starter
Bonus points if you have:
- PMP qualification and experience in project management, leadership, and the military
- Microsoft Project experience
- Knowledge of US Navy Readiness systems and reporting
- Knowledge of Navy Figures of Merit (FOM)
- Experience using Azure DevOps
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret security clearance
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Work Schedule:
- Onsite/hybrid
