About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented candidate to join the magniX Manufacturing Team, which is responsible for the production of our Electric Powertrain products, including Energy Storage Solutions, Power Electronics, and Motors. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining accurate records within our ERP system. This role will focus primarily on Energy Storage Solutions – battery production.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, documentation, and tooling to produce aerospace lithium-ion battery packs.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize battery designs for manufacturability.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase yield, reduce cycle times, and lower production costs.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Support the development of new battery technologies and products.
• Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
• Manage manufacturing bills of materials and item master data in the ERP system.
• Create manufacturing planning, work orders, and job routers/travelers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or similar engineering discipline.
• 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the battery industry or aerospace.
• Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery pack manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP systems.
• Familiarity with FAA regulatory environments.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

This position's hourly range is $117,000 - $145,000 per year, depending on experience and education.
