Essential Job Functions

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspect equipment at the end of each day
  • Perform inspection daily of his / her equipment to notice any potential equipment malfunction
  • Weed whack any areas that a mower cannot mow, as well as, hard to reach service areas
  • Weed whack areas in a safe and productive manner while avoiding damage to other people's property
  • Ensure all safeguards and safety itemsare being used and operated by the user
  • Notify Crew Leader of any areas that are unsafe to weed whack or cannot be serviced for the day
  • Obey and observe all trafficlaws while operating equipment
  • Work with Crew Leader to ensure 100% completion of assigned areas
  • Ensure that all areas assigned for the day are completed up to contract standards
  • Perform re-servicing of failed areas
  • Adhere to company policies and breaks
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The incumbent is frequently required use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects tools or controls.

The incumbent must spend the entire time at work standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, operating medium-weight cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, sweeping and mopping floors and moving desks and furniture.

The incumbent is required to do a great deal of stretching and bending, often in awkward positions.

Environmental Demands

The incumbent works on a daily basis with dangerous and toxic cleaning products that can be very harmful to ones health if not properly utilized.

The incumbent also regularly cleans up blood, saliva and other bodily fluids that are unpleasant to deal with. The condition of washrooms is often unpleasant.

Background Screening

Must submit to background check during length of employment as dictated by contract. Must be able to pass criminal and drug screening processes to meet current contract eligibility requirements that apply.
