Overview: The Investment Reporting team is responsible for all reporting related to the investment portfolio. This includes board reporting, regulatory reporting, investment compliance reporting, ad-hoc investment data requests and routine portfolio reporting. Our ideal candidate will be able to extract data from Microsoft Azure datalake, write their own SQL queries and build their own dashboards in power BI. Key responsibilities include: Data extractionBuilding report specificationsCompiling ad hoc reports with summarizationDesigning data validation and integrity checks to produce trusted investment information across the enterpriseMaintaining investment reporting and investment data governance across the enterprise Primary Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of investment management reports for Talcott Resolution’s Board of Directors, senior leadership team, risk committees, regulators, and rating agencies. Reporting can cover a variety of areas including but not limited to board reporting, portfolio monitoring and regulatory reporting Drive effective communication to accurately represent Talcott Resolution’s investment profile to senior leadership and applicable stakeholders. Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of Talcott’s investment management reporting capabilities Develop methodologies for the assessment and ongoing monitoring of the portfolio using both quantitative and qualitative tools and metricsWork within the investment management team to develop reporting to facilitate investment decision makingLiaise with Enterprise Risk Management, Finance and Actuarial teams to ensure the investment story is accurately reflected across the enterprise. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher; FSA or CFA designation preferred but not requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience within the investment industry, insurance or banking Strong technical skills, experience with SQL and Excel VBAProject management skills; ability to drive tasks effectively to completionStrong attention to detail and well organizedAbility to prioritize, multi-task, work independently and work well under aggressive deadlines while delivering superior outcomesStrong communicator with excellent verbal, written and listening skillsQuick learner and able to drive continuous improvement beyond own scope of responsibility; able to constructively challenge status quo
