Summary
At Cutting Edge Manufacturing (‘CEM”), we are an amazing team and are dedicated to our customers’ success. We are looking for a motivated Sales Representative that has strong business sales skills in the Fabrication and Machining industry. Our Sales Representative handles direct selling from lead to closing for projects using a combination of territory and industry knowledge. As part of our Sales Team, we will challenge your ingenuity and your aspirations all while attaining yearly sales goals consistent with our strategic plan.
Responsibilities:
· Effectively sell CEM’s fabricated and machined products and services.
· Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
· Effectively contact prospective customers based on leads from business directories or other sources.
· Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities in software, timely.
· Effectively quote jobs and communicate pricing to the customer.
· Facilitate site visits for potential projects that meet criteria for CEM applications.
· Communicate positively and effectively with customers and present technical data knowledgeably.
· Submit detailed business and project information to Company Owner for pricing, timely.
· Develop new customer relationships.
· Establish and maintain long-term, positive working relationships with customers, both new and existing.
· Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas.
· Travel (around 50%) to customer locations and prospective customers.
· Our successful Sales Representative is expected to sell $750(k) annually.
Requirements:
· Demonstrate effective time management skills to maximize Direct Selling Time (DST)
· Work well under pressure and have superb organizational and multi-tasking skills
· Demonstrate excellent technical comprehension, writing, and communication skills
· Ability to learn/obtain full project discovery and concept solutions based on information gathered
· Ability to effectively quote jobs and communicate quotes to customers
· Valid driver's license with no restrictions
· 1-3 years of fabricating/machining experience in sales, project management, applications, or related disciplines
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or an Associate’s Degree/ Technical Diploma and equivalent industry experience
· Proficient in Microsoft’s Office Suite products
· Ability to use and learn --- software, and process necessary Sales worksheets and paperwork timely
· Knowledge and understanding of welding and machining applications
· Work is performed in the office at CEM and by traveling to customer sites, etc.
· Communicate to Company Owner and Office Manager each week the Sales schedule.
