Customs Goods LLC is Hiring a Safety/Warehouse Coordinator Near Carson, CA

Summary/Objective: 

In this role, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Safety department including involvement with personnel, materials, equipment and assisting in creating a safe workplace and an organized WC claims process logging and maintaining data on work related accident and injuries for all facilities.

 Essential Functions:

  • Tracking the effectiveness of the Safety Program at all levels
  • Conduct accident and claim investigations to identify root causes and action plans for improvement.
  • Conduct audits as needed, reporting and follow up to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Assists safety personnel in promoting more safety awareness and education through emails, meetings, weekly safety topics, safety articles and newsletters.
  • Assist managers and safety personnel in promoting more safety awareness and education through emails, meetings, weekly safety topics, safety articles, newsletters, etc.
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and various safety documentation, files and records.
  • Share best practice information among all PT facilities.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute safety metric reports.
  • Continuously improve job skills and technical knowledge through ongoing professional development opportunities such as seminars, conferences, online subscriptions, literature and regulatory publications.
  • Maintain WC injuries log
  • Tracking all incident reports, conducting incident investigations and maintaining a current OSHA log
  • WC Claims reporting process, preparing file folders, copying records for subpoenas, insurance carrier and attorneys.
  • Follow-up on medical status reports, communicating needed information to management and supervisors on a need-to-know basis
  • Continuous education by attending Safety and WC seminars and meetings as needed to stay on top of current issues affecting the workplace.
  • Assists in establishing and communicating company safety and WC values, goals and initiatives and methods for measuring the effectiveness of safety and WC programs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and ExperienceTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
