SUMMARY 

• This position is intended to be a jointly beneficial learning opportunity. Significant interaction with an Engineering Mentor and the Engineering Manager is expected.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Document designs using 3D solid (SolidWorks) and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD).
• Evaluate weight and balance issues for road worthiness and crane stability.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering with development of work orders.
• Maintain revision control on drawings and other controlled documents.
• Generate manuals for designed equipment as required.
• Data entry for Product Data Management system. 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline
• Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write emails and other correspondence. 
• Must also possess the ability to speak effectively with other employees. 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, Draftsight, etc
• Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel and Word

Working Conditions

• Required to sit for lengthy periods of time.
• Occasional work on the shop floor testing products, speaking with technicians and diagnosing issues.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly using a computer and monitor.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25 pounds or more and working with general hand tools.
