We are seeking a dedicated Quality Production Engineer to join our team in BEAUTIFUL Georgetown County, SC.. This role requires adherence to all work instructions, equipment operating procedures, quality standards, and safety rules/guidelines while actively contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment to achieve company objectives.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Performance Monitoring: Oversee up to four production processes, ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement.
• Chemical Expertise: Learn and apply reaction chemistry principles, as all production processes involve some form of chemical reaction.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify issues within production and implement data-driven improvements.
• Investigative Skills: Conduct thorough investigations into customer complaints, production discrepancies, and equipment failures.
• Corrective Actions: Develop and execute corrective actions to address identified issues.
• Project Management: Lead process improvement projects, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Quality Correlation: Link final product quality with production processing data.
• Training Development: Assist in training plant supervisors and operators, and develop comprehensive training plans.
• Yield Tracking: Monitor production yields and conduct mass balances.
• Statistical Tools: Employ SPC and SQC tools to maintain process control and quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure cohesive operations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience in an engineering capacity.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in root cause problem solving.
• Proficiency with MOC/CAPA processes (2 years). Corrective and Preventive Action
• Project management experience (2 years), coordinating across multiple departments.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 / GMP production standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in writing and revising SOPs.
• Knowledge of SPC/SQC.
• Experience with exothermic reactions, vacuum dryers, and powder handling/packaging operations.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Understanding of batch polymerizations, esterification, and trans-esterification hydrolysis reactions.
• Proficiency in distillation, filtration, drying, and pneumatic conveying processes.
