- Proven prior experience performing all Project Management Office responsibilities and functions, including portfolio planning, pricing, project initiation, execution, closeout, and risk management across a variety of IT Infrastructure disciplines (Networking, Data Center, Cloud, Virtualization, Security and End Points).
- P&L responsibility for Project Services division.
- Experience managing enterprise technology project portfolio in a matrixed organization.
- Balancing technical resource availability against demand and prioritizing client needs:
- Work with engineering to create project work break-down plans, resource plans, budgets and timelines.
- Identifies specific resources needed and works with engineering management to schedule.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of division across teams.
- Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
- Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Manages divisional (Project Services) financial performance against plan/budget.
- Client Management.
- Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations.
- Communicates with clients to identify needs and evaluate project risks.
- Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- Mastery of Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices.
- Expertise with large-scale Project Portfolio management and management tools.
- Technical understanding in the areas of LAN/WAN networking, wireless, desktop deployments, virtualization, unified communications, and the various Microsoft technologies.
- “Digital Transformation” / Cloud Migration and infrastructure experience a plus.
- Ability to harness resources across teams to deliver the most value for the company.
- PMP certification strongly preferred.
- Polished professional presence and ability to present to clients and lead meetings.
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
