Custom Computer Specialists is Hiring an Associate Systems Engineer (2473) Near Hauppauge, NY
- The overall accuracy of the configuration of the equipment
- Review and understand network designs and configurations
- Follow Custom’s configuration processes and identify any issues or gaps
- Load applicable software onto servers
- Compliance with Program’s technical standards
- Completing all Program defined deliverables in a timely manner
- Identify and communicate issues in a timely manner
- 2 to 3 years experience with Cisco and Meraki equipment
- Technical skills in Networking, Wireless and Server technologies
- Ability to quickly get up to speed on contractual requirements and standards
- Experience in Quality Management
- Solid aptitude across Microsoft Office Suite - especially Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in English
- Qualified candidates should possess the following technical skills:
- Ability to configure equipment including updating OS, Firmware, and application of configurations
- Capable of reading network designs and configurations
- Cisco Infrastructure and Meraki Wireless experience/knowledge
- A thorough understanding of network infrastructure and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, IPX, AppleTalk)
- Knowledge of VLAN structures and configuration backup
- At least one major network certification (CCNA, etc.)
- General knowledge of content delivery engines and proxy servers
- Desktop OS, NOS and application support experience
