Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for US GAAP compliance, general ledger support, best practice procedures, and controllership project management. The Senior Accountant will be involved in most aspects of the global controllership function and will work closely with the rest of the senior finance leadership team. This position is located at Current's Greenville, SC headquarters. This role requires 4 days a week in the office with 1 day remote.

Responsibilities: 

Finance and Accounting Leadership

• Be well versed in accounting principles and the operational application of them in real word scenarios;
• Have a solid foundation in accounting, internal controls, and audit.
• Ensure the business is compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
• Understand key business risks and internal control framework to focus efforts and look forward;
• Develop a solid understanding of the financial statements, and prepare analysis and commentary;
• Function as a liaison with auditors;
• Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements including necessary journal entries;
• Assist in monthly and quarterly account reconciliations;
• ·Support ad hoc analysis requests;

 Team Leadership: 

• Leverages strengths of the current finance team members
• Helps to clarify roles and responsibilities
• Develops and implements training programs to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals;
• Provides leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the enterprise; creates and promotes a positive and supportive work environment.

Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and unwavering commitment; a proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who work, in partnership with the Finance and broader business functions, the accounting operations for the enterprise

 Qualifications:

This is an extraordinary opportunity for a mature leader with 5 years of accounting and finance experience, ideally beginning in accounting and audit, followed by experience gathering, evaluating, presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders. 

 Other qualifications include:

• Minimum of a BA; Accounting
• Public Accounting experience and CPA;
• Financial systems expertise (SAP and OneStream preferred)
• Solid, current knowledge of GAAP 

 Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $93,000-$117,000.
