Responsibilities:

• Analyze signed contract to determine billing deadlines, payments terms, billable and non-reimbursable expenses, and ensure information is listed in the Prime Contract in Procore
• Manage Builder’s Risk insurance policy (file paperwork, follow-up, premium payment, renewal)
• Manage accounts payable: after Subcontracts are issued, follow up with subs regarding submitting SSOVs, send monthly reminders to invoice, request lien releases, issue payments, ensure vendor compliance documents are up to date prior to release payments, etc.
• Manage Notice to Owner log per project, monthly. Distribute to owner when required.
• Manage direct costs: enter receipts, code accordingly, create/file reimbursables into Change Events, etc. Once approve in projects, ensure cost is posted in accounting software.
• Analyze team purchases and keep track of CYC field equipment.
• Manage month end: package and send all owner’s pay app to proper distribution list, follow-up for approval, use ERP to pull all Subs change orders, invoices, into Acumatica.
• Allocate insurance, CYC labor and Indirect Costs to projects.
• Monitor budgeted costs and communicate with team members when potential profitability issues are seen.
• Manage project financial closeout: ensure all subs are invoiced 100%, and that closeout documents have been received prior to issuing final payment.
• Respond to accounting inquiries, dispute invoices when needed, set up accounts and/or close out temp utilities, and assist Project Managers with any other requests.
• Assist Controller/Accounting Manager with other activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related degree with real construction experience is preferred. An equivalent of experience, training or education will be considered.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles, as well as accounting principles.
• Excellent communication abilities, time management and dispute resolution.
• Must be a self-starter, adaptable and flexible to operate with minimal direction and little supervision while working in a complex environment.
• Demonstrate high standard accountability and integrity.
• Computer savvy, including MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, accounting software such as Acumatica.
• Ability to work under pressure and be a team player.
