CURO Financial Technologies Corporation is Hiring a Remote Director, Data Science (REMOTE)
Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the Director, Data Science (Scoring Risk and Analytics – Canadian Direct Lending), will manage credit strategies for our two Canadian businesses; ensuring the credit quality and growth meets CURO’s standards. As our Canadian Direct lending leader, it will be critical in understanding P&L drivers and credit actions critical for CURO’s growth.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who is an out of the box thinker, relentless problem solver, and innovator to build the entire end-to-end credit card customer lifecycle.
What you will be doing:
- You will develop analytics supporting the Canadian products including the development of innovative techniques, statistical analysis, and decision science logic required to achieve desired business goals
- By leveraging risk, fraud, and marketing models used in managing risk, marketing, fraud, and verifying customer’s identity, you will create a frictionless customer experience
- Partnering on scorecard development projects
- Good Understanding of Risk Management metrics in Financial Services Industry
- Help drive pricing strategy and marketing partner test strategy
- Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements
- Excellent communication & problem solving skills
What you should have:
- You have a Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Economics or other quantitative discipline (Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience will be considered)
- You possess at least 5 years of experience of scoring risk and analytics across the customer lifecycle
- You have proven leadership in most of the customer lifecycle: underwriting, pricing, or line management and proven ability to improve processes and drive to business results
- You have advanced SAS or Python, Excel and SQL experience and knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
You will stand out as a candidate if you have:
- Direct FinTech experience
- Experience with building, developing and marketing an open-ended lending product
