The VP of Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for our cannon of products as well as brand-centric campaigns that speak directly to existing and curious cannabis consumers and patients. The VP will collaborate with the Chief Brand Officer to ensure that marketing initiatives support the company’s revenue growth targets and product mix distribution targets while maintaining the core value of the brand and corporate mission. The VP of Marketing is also responsible for managing both internal and external agencies and freelancers as well as being responsible for coaching the internal marketing team members to maximize their potential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Develop marketing strategies that drive customer preference for Curio Wellness and Far & Dotter brands 
• Assure all sales goals are met through clear and actionable market communications
• In Collaboration with the CBO develop marketing goals and objectives 
• Determine quarterly KPIs for the marketing department
• Plan, implement, manage and measure trade and consumer marketing strategies
• Plan and be responsible for the marketing budget
• Collaborate with the Sales, Product Innovation, Cultivation, Manufacturing, and Retail teams to understand product launch schedules and product innovations schedules and develop marketing strategies to support sales
• Collaborate with HR and Senior Leadership to promote and instill the brand across the organization
• Create and present the annual marketing plan and strategy to the Curio Wellness Executive team and its Board of Directors
• Use data and reports to make evidence-based decisions
• Oversee and implement market research initiatives in collaboration with PI and Sales, as needed
• Regularly produce and present reports
• Stay up to date on latest technologies
• Stay up to date on marketing best practices
• Attend marketing conferences and educational programs, as needed
• Possesses a high level of critical thinking
• Possess the ability to represent the organization in media, at conferences, on panels and other public engagements, as needed
• Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
• Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Curio Wellness
• Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws.
