We are looking for a talented student to join our team for our School To Work , Engineering in Frankfort, KY.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:The Cummins-Meritor Cooperative Education Student who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. The student works in support of the After market department by applying their academic studies to the practical application of an on the job experience. The STW Student works under close supervision to learn about aspects of engineering that they can apply after graduation.

We are looking for a talented student to join our team for our School To Work , Engineering in Frankfort, KY.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:The Cummins-Meritor Cooperative Education Student who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. The student works in support of the After market department by applying their academic studies to the practical application of an on the job experience. The STW Student works under close supervision to learn about aspects of engineering that they can apply after graduation.
- Supports engineers and designers with layouts and drawing modifications of existing components.
- Provides engineering analysis for new or existing components and writes engineering reports.
- Supports engineers in identifying new core recovery opportunities and developing new processes.
- Assists with work cell design and layout changes.
- Provides hands-on support of process development.
- Generates 2-D CAD drawings or 3-D models of fixtures, gauges, work cells, etc.
- Some programing skills to support local engineering tools development are required.
- Demonstrated capability and knowledge of basic mathematics and sciences.
- Experience with data analytic tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools preferred.
- Ability to learn on the job in a dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and within teams as needed.
- Demonstrates written and oral communication skills, including presentation creation.
- Strong teamwork and ability to interact with all levels of the organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Post-Secondary:
- Must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters.
- Must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA.
