Material Handler - PIV

Description

We are looking for a talented Material Handler - PIV to join our Team specializing in logistics for our Parts and Warehouse distribution segment in Atlanta, GA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Under direct or close supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.
• Conducting/overseeing cycle and bin counting, investigating inventory discrepancies, processing part returns to vendor, processing defective parts, using system generated reports to monitor inventory accuracy.
• Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
• Maintain updated and organized records of all incoming and outgoing shipments in addition to creating outbound shipments using small parcel carriers as well as freight carriers.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
• Follows safety procedures and remains flexible to perform other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• Ability to create and use reports to assist in managing Inventory, proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Excel and Word) preferred.
• Logistics and warehouse experience preferred, ability to be trained to operate a forklift.
• Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment.
• This is a fast-paced warehouse environment, there will be a lot of standing and lifting.
• This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.
