We are currently looking for an Operations Manager for our Boston, MA office. The role ensures that the company is well positioned in a rapidly evolving and competitive environment by being an agent for ongoing organizational change. The position ensures that strategies are clearly understood by all stakeholders and that the company is achieving its strategic goals at the optimum pace. In conjunction with the Senior Vice President and Project Directors this role supports and guides the PM pool. This is a great opportunity to join our team! 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development, maintenance and monitoring of company’s annual strategic plan.
  • Ensure clarity, understanding and commitment to business objectives from all employees.
  • Develop and manage integrated, strategy aligned departmental workplans.
  • Liaise partners and team members relationship with key operating functions nationally including: Finance/ Accounting, Legal, Admin, HR, and Technology.
  • Analyze performance reporting data of projects and overall accounts.
  • Develop innovative initiatives to enhance internal efficiency and effectiveness around project and process delivery.
  • Develop innovative initiatives to enhance revenue generation.
  • Facilitate weekly resource planning and analysis of team project utilization.
  • Oversight of project profit and process.
  • Review and maintain AR and AP targets for the Boston Profit Center.
  • Liaise leadership and team member relationships with monthly resource check-ins.
  • Onboard/offboard team members into the Boston office.
  • Manage Boston office space, admin requirements, and onsite technology needs.
  • Liaise partners and team members relationship with key operating functions nationally including: Finance/ Accounting, Legal, Admin, HR, and Technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration is preferred. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Four years or more experience in related position supporting management and/or team of professionals is required.
  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively deal with other people, especially other company personnel, to enlist needed cooperation in implementing regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic.
  • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings.
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction.
  • Apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the relevant industry.
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Work under executive supervision.
  • Ability to effectively delegate.
  • Possess strong leadership skills, including ability to exhibit confidence in self and others, inspiring and motivating others, commanding respect and trust and accepting feedback from subordinates.
  • Ability to include staff in planning and decision-making.

  • Utilize effective written and oral communications and team skills.

  • Exercise creativity and resourcefulness in completing tasks accurately in a compressed timeframe.
