RESPONSIBILITIES: The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for preventative maintenance as well as making necessary repairs to the Academy owned vehicles. Duties will involve diagnosing mechanical problems, checking automotive fluids, checking tires and batteries, replacing various parts, performing tune-ups, and cleaning the interior and exterior of the automobiles.REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess a High School Diploma/GED and three to six months experience in automotive repair; or a combination of education and experience. A one-year certificate from a college or technical school is desired. Additional requirements include a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a good driving record, hand tools and a toolbox, and must be willing to work overtime including evenings and weekends when necessary.
