Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Maintenance worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, ensuring the facility is safe and functional.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
- Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial, or facilities maintenance
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning standards and practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
