Your Role:

As a Partner Student Advisor (PSA), you will act as the primary pre-departure contact for students enrolling on custom or standard CEA CAPA programs from key sending institutions. This entails guiding students through the enrollment process, advising on all program-related topics including student health and safety, credit transfer, visa and immigration processes and housing. Each PSA will work in collaboration with the partner services team and will be expected to provide timely and accurate advising based on the partner institution’s requirements. The PSA will be expected to meet student enrollment retention goals through careful monitoring and targeting support of each student’s progress through the pre-departure journey.

What You’ll Do:

  • Retain students through the pre-departure process from the point they complete their application until they depart for their program, and successfully prepare them both logistically and culturally for their program. 
  • Serve as primary point of contact (via phone, text, and email) for students and families throughout the pre-departure process. 
  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of program details and become an expert on locations where assigned institutions send students. 
  • Maintain knowledge of program/institution specific enrollment, and academic requirements, and payment procedures for both custom and standard programs 
  • Identify situations where escalated support from the Partner Services team is required and engage appropriate assistance. 
  • Collaborate with career and internship coaches assigned to work with students from assigned partner institutions. 
  • Work in partnership with the Partner Services team to monitor key home institution enrollment numbers on custom and standard programs and provide feedback on where additional support and outreach may be leveraged to reach and exceed targeted enrollment numbers per term. 
  • Monitor student progress to ensure effective communication in tandem with pre-departure deadlines. 
  • Master the visa and immigration processes for several countries and provide accurate guidance and advice to students. 
  • Work collaboratively with various departments across the organization, both domestic and internationally to create and continue to improve the student experience and organizational efficiencies. 
  • Create and maintain site-specific program literature to help improve the pre-departure process. 
  • Assist with emergency phone duties as required.

Starting Salary: $50,000

What Makes a Great Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2-5 years of experience required. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to justice, equity, inclusion, and diversity.
  • Experience with education abroad is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS): Word, Excel, and Outlook 
  • Experience using CRM (Customer Relations Management) databases, Salesforce preferred.
