Culpepper's Grill and Bar is Hiring a Bartender Near St Charles, MO

We are looking for an experienced Bartender to join our team! You will be helping to create exceptional experiences for our customers during their dining experience with us by serving all customers at the bar, creating drinks for the service well, taking to-go orders, and resolving customer issues.

Job Title: Bartender
Department: Restaurant Operations
Reports to: Management Team
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to the guests and service bar. Serves food and beverages to the guests in a friendly and timely manner.
Specific Functions and Duties: 
  • Completes all opening and closing duties. 
  • Creates a fun and friendly atmosphere at the bar by interacting with all bar guests. 
  • Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water and juices to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. 
  • Serves food and drinks to all bar guests. 
  • Responsible for washing bar glassware. 
  • Slices fruit garnishes for drinks. 
  • Keeps bar stocked, clean and organized at all times. 
  • Presents guest checks to bar guests. Makes correct change and/or completes any necessary charge card transactions. 
  • Responsible for obtaining valid proof of age from anyone consuming or trying to order alcohol. 
  • Processes employee food orders. 
  • Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale 
  • computerized register system. 
  • Take and process Delivery/carryout orders
  • Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects. 
  • Use of a jigger 
Qualifications: 
  • Able to operate blenders and other bar equipment. 
  • Able to stand during entire shift. 
  • Frequent immersion of hands in water. 
  • Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, stools, pick up debris off of the floor and wipe down booth and chairs in all areas of the restaurant. 
  • Transport glass racks and cases up to 25 pounds periodically during each shift. 
  • Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required. 
  • Previous experience as a bartender
  • General knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beer
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs
  • Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
Responsibilities: 
  • Take orders from bar customers for food and beverages.
  •  Produce the needed beverages for the service well.
  •  Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the bar.
  •  Keep an accurate spill through the shift.
  •  Collect customer payments and provide change in a timely and courteous manner
