TRUSS ASSEMBLER - $19.00 START - DAY SHIFT - NO WEEKENDS

Culpeper of Leola / Stauffer Components is looking for efficient, safety-minded Builders for our Roof and Floor Truss operations. We have full-time, year-round work available, for the right candidate. Applicants should have a basic understanding of construction principles and procedures and access to reliable transportation. Successful candidates must know how to measure and use basic math skills. He or she should also be detail oriented and committed to working safely.

We offer a great work schedule: M - TH 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM. OT on Fridays, as needed, until 2:00. NO WEEKEND or out of town work. $500 SIGN-ON BONUS!

Job Functions :

• Obtains lumber pieces from lumber stacks, inspects them, and places them onto worktables.
• Assembles a variety of lumber products (roof trusses, floor trusses, valley sets and other components) using hand tools, plates, and nails. Follows fabrication directions on manufacturing paperwork.
• Ejects/lifts the finished product from the jig and push/pulls it over to the exit rollers for exiting the building.
• Inspects finished product to ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepares the work area for production. Pre-plates lumber pieces. Assists with jig set-up.
• May assist in stacking the finished product.

Required Skills :

• Take accurate measurements using a tape measure.
• Do basic math to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Read manufacturing paperwork (English).
• Possess basic verbal communication skills (English).
• Work well with other employees.
• Follow directions and carry out instructions.
• Physically perform the job tasks identified, including lift/carry/push/pull up to 65 lbs.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Must pass a tape measure test, during the interview process. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Must pass a post-offer physical, drug screen, lift test & background check.
