Below is the job description for the position you are applying for.

Summary:

This position aids the bakery manager by preparing all donuts for the display case and packaging. The employee in this position will have a firm handle on the entire process of donut making (mixing, slacking, proofing, frying, filling and icing). This position is responsible for delivering consistent product quality and meeting daily production needs. In addition to understanding the donut process this position requires good judgement/decision-making and math skills. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Mixes Batter

-Plans production and adjusts to meet plan target

-Ensures proper ingredients and consistencies (scales/measures)

Prepares for Production

-Trays, slacks and proofs donuts for the day based on sales

-fills the filling injector and warms icing in advance of finished product

-Sets proofing box to desired temp and humidity

-Ensures adequate oil in fryer, and cleanliness of oil before warming fryer before production

Ensures Proper Proofing

-Determine when items are fully proofed

-Ensures oven space for proofed items

Ensures Proper Frying

-Drops, flips and removes donuts to proper consistency

-Uses proper technique to reduce injury and waste

Fills Display Case

-Creates a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing display with a mix of donuts and other pastries

-Adjusts production mix to account for different sales
