Description
- The CPM reports directly to the Senior Construction Manager and ultimately the Program Manager.
- This is a full-time, FLSA exempt position. It requires at least 40 hours per week with the ability to work more if necessary.
- Managesallonsiteconstructionfunctionsinaccordancewiththeestablishedpolicies, procedures,systems,andrequirementsapprovedbytheCompany.
- Generates,managesandupdatesschedulesinMicrosoftProject(2016).
- Effectivelyforecasts LaborCosts andnotifies SeniorCMofpotentialissues.
- ProficientlyinterpretsandunderstandsP&ID’s,Drawings,Specificationsandotherrelevant Construction Documents.
- Managesthequalityofinstallationsandtheirconformitytoapplicableconstruction documents.
- ValidatesChangeOrdersandanyT&Mworktickets.
- Sequencesworkschedulestomitigatepotentialdelaysandidentifiesscheduleriskswellin advanceofslippages.Implementsremedialactiontorecoverlosttime.
- Generalsafetysupervisionandawarenesswiththesupportoffull-timesafetyspecialists.
- CompletesaDailyLogthatincludesprogressupdates&photos,manpoweronsite, companiesonsite,dailyactivitiesbeingperformed,keydeliveries,keydiscussions, progress/safetyissues,etc.
- Assistsinclientprocurementactivities,includingtheassemblingofBidPackagesandBid Review.
- FacilitatesProgressMeetingsamongtradesandstakeholders.
- Overseestheseamlessfunctionofconstructionadministrationdutiesandtheup-to-date flowofprojectdocumentsandinformationtorequiredparties.
- Coordinateswith A/E onfield issuesand worksto resolveproblems.
- ProvidesOwnerwithregularupdates,notifiesthemofissuesandcommunicatesregularlyto keep them informed.
- UsesandisproficientinallapplicablemodulesintheConstructionManagementplatform, Procore.Includinguploading,maintaining,usingandremovinginformation/documents.
- Supervise allpersonnelatthesitethroughsubordinateleaders.Managesproject indirectoverheadbudgets,changecontrolandT&Mworkvalidation.
- Monitorsperformance,progressandmanpowerissues;resolvesasnecessary.
- FunctionsasliaisonbetweentheEngineeringDepartmentandConstructionExecution. CompletesSafeWorkPermits,JSA’s,HSA’sandothersafety-relatedpermittingasneeded.
- Performs otherduties asmandated bythe SeniorCM andProgramManager.
- LeveragesavailableBusinessTechnologyplatformstomaximizeefficiency,including Procore,BlueBeam,SharePoint,OneNote,MSWord,MSProject,MSExcel,MSOffice, MSTeams,ZoomMeetings,WebEx,SmartPhoneApplications(bothinternally-developed andpurchased),iPads,etc.EffectiveuseandnavigationofITtools,software,dashboards and platforms is a requirement.
- Atleast 5 yearsofrelatedCM/PMexperiencewithinIndustrialconstruction,preferably foraConstructionManagementorGeneralContractingfirm.
- BachelorsinConstructionManagement,Engineeringorrelatedfieldpreferred,butnot required,assumingacombinationofrelevanteducationandexperiencecommensurate with duties/responsibilities.
- KnowledgeinASMEBPVCCode(B31.3,B31.1,SectionIX,etc.)ishighlydesirable.
- Electrical,controls,distributionandautomationexperienceishighlydesirable.
- MEPTradecertificationsandlicensesaredesirable.
- Proventrackrecordofsolidsafetyimplementationexperienceandsuccessfulsafety performance record.
- Completionof OSHA30hourtrainingprogram isdesirable.
- ThesuccessfulCMcandidatemusthaverecentandbroadexperienceinthedesignand constructionofbiopharmaceutical,foodandheavyprocessindustryfacilities
- Experiencewithprojectsvaluedat$50MMandgreater.
- Minimum Trainingon UtilizingEquipment(i.e. man liftsfor example)
- UnderstandsGMP–GoodManufacturingPractices,particularlyrelatedtoFoodSafetyand FDA regulations.
- ClientCovidVaccineProtocol:PerClientrequirements,allon-sitecontractorsmustbe vaccinatedorhaveavalidmedicalorreligiousexemption.Thosewhoqualifyforan exemptionmustcompleteemployee-paidtesting
