Job Description
CSI Recruiting is working with an established surface royalty ownership group headquartered in Dallas, TX. The company has interests in Land/Resource Management and Water Services Operations and creates revenue generation through the entire value chain of oil and gas development. The firm is looking to add a Sr. Financial Reporting/Corporate Accountant to their team to support the organization's Manager of Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the Accounting Manager with the preparation and review processes of Company's SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.).
• Support the earnings release process, including review and tie-out of press releases and earnings presentations.
• Perform research, assist with implementation of new SEC regulations and maintain documentation of conclusions.
• Review XBRL data within Workiva for the Company's financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Participate in the preparation of monthly statement of cash flows and shareholders' equity.
• Prepare/review monthly internal reporting presentations provided to leadership team.
• Prepare/review monthly corporate accounting related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage the tracking and roll forward of common stock and employee equity compensation.
• Liaise with Company's external auditors for SEC reporting purposes as well as the review and execution of reporting-related SOX controls.
• Assist in ESG related compliance and reporting initiatives.
• Familiarize oneself with the company's legal entities and overall business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• GAAP familiarity, in-depth and current
• Experience in preparing accounting support and documentation to support both internal and external audits.
• Must have experience working in SEC financial reporting.
• Experience using Workiva's WDesk platform for SEC Reporting
• 3 years of financial reporting experience

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Current CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
• Oil & Gas experience preferred
