Crystal Springs is Hiring a Director of Family Services Near Crystal, MS

· LCSW or LMHC is required

· Minimum of two years’ experience as a case manager preferred

· Minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred

DUTIES AND RESPNSIBILITIES:

· Recruit, hire and manage department staff including providing consistent supervision and evaluation

· Consistently model expectations and exercise management responsibilities in such a way as to reinforce the philosophy of care, regulations, program policies and procedures including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) practices.

· Oversee treatment plans to assure that they are accurate, measurable, achievable and reasonable to implement within a residential setting.

· Function as licensed signatory for necessary student treatment documentation

· Ensure that case managers complete all mandatory and required training hours as required by state licensing and/or Crystal Springs

· Assist with policy/ protocol development with regard to Family Involvement.

· Attend bi-monthly Children’s Team Management meetings and Child Safety meetings

· Function as standing member of the Internal Audit Committee

· Function as Interdepartmental Liaison

· Provide creative input for departmental growth and development to his/her supervisor

· Provide in-service and /or orientation training regarding Family-focused care

· Manage Their own caseload

· Regularly visit residents on his/her caseload in both the educational and residential setting

· Oversee mailings and other messaging to parents/agencies on various topics throughout the year

· Keep other Crystal Springs’ Departments informed on any student’s, their family’s or other stakeholder’s change in status or student’s needs that have been communicated to him/her by families or agencies

· Participate in student specific meetings (IEPs, 6 month reviews, quarterlies, Individual Transition Plans, foster care case reviews) to assist in the implementation and ongoing review of the student

· Attend and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as requested

· Keep parents/guardians informed of residents’ personal needs and all significant non-medical events

· Contact involved agencies (i.e. LEA, DCF, DCYF) as needed regarding students

· Schedule and chair monthly departmental staff meetings

· Schedule and facilitate Family Events

· Coordinate and participate in contingency meetings with the interdisciplinary team as necessary

· Participate in the admissions process by attending the intake/evaluation meeting, pre-admission and post admission meetings for a student on his/her caseload

· Schedule the use of Crystal Springs’ apartment, for families, as needed

· Assist and facilitate with the transition process to Adult Services

· Abide by mandates regarding confidentiality and ethics as per federal, state and agency policy and procedures

· Attend in-services/conferences to keep abreast of best practices and changes pertaining to family social work

· Complete all mandatory and required training hours as required by state licensing and/or Crystal Springs

· Other duties as assigned
