Route Driver (Full Time - 40 hours)
Monday-Friday 6:30-5 (No weekends)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record. Class A CDL preferred, but not required.
1 year route, customer service, and sales experience preferred
Must be detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking. Good verbal communication skills. Able to understand direct marketing and up-selling. Capable of dealing with conflict. Must be computer literate.
Routes are typically 20-35 stops per route per day. Some out of town routes to Birmingham, Shoals, etc. Must have a full range of body movements including use of hands and able to lift 65 lbs. Must be able to handle full 5 gallon bottles and 2.5 gallon glass bottles and have ability to pull them off the upper racks of the trucks.
Regularly exceed sales goals. Complete all paperwork and uploads to Office Manager accurately and timely. Manage route safety and confirm compliance with OSHA, DOT and other applicable law. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, personal hygiene and dress to present a positive company image. Wipe coolers, clean drip pans and maintain equipment in excellent shape and appearance. Rotate product leaving the newest in the back and pulling the oldest to the front. Look for opportunities to up sell product and accessories. Perform any other duties from time to time as may be assigned by the Route Manager.
This position requires extensive physical activities. Employee will be required to travel to customer sites in a company truck delivering heavy products to clients mostly in the local area. Normal work hours are from 6:30 to 5:00 with thirty minutes allowed for lunch and breaks per the employee manual. Some overtime is required during the heavy seasons. (March-September)
Enroll in health, vision, and dental after 90 days (company pays half). Simple IRA/401k (company matches up to 3%) and vacation days accrue after 1 year.
