About the Team:
Crunchyroll is looking for a Marketing Manager for the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand region (UCANZ). You will report into the Director of Marketing for UCANZ, and roll up into the Regional Marketing team. You will support business growth for the Crunchyroll brand in the UCANZ region, support title launches and brand programs and play an essential coordination role with global line of business teams.
The Marketing Manager is a creative and strategic expert in the streaming industry, anime, and pop culture, responsible for insight-driven campaign planning, world-class execution, and regional audience engagement. They collaborate closely with the social media manager and various teams, taking direct ownership of SVOD, title, and brand campaign launches' success.
About the Role:
- Implement strategy for UCANZ multicultural and college audiences through digital channels, special projects/events, and other creative GTM methods to deepen the relationship with our extended audiences, improve viewership and streaming subscriptions, grow our awareness footprint, and use all organic marketing efforts to reach users in meaningful and engaging ways.
- Assist the execution of global and regional (digital) brand-campaigns and events, in partnership with the SVOD and Events Managers. This may include college marketing and multicultural programs; theatrical releases campaigns and streaming events; partnership campaigns (eg. e-Comm partners;) experiential and convention activation campaigns
- Facilitate communication with centralized internal Marketing, Audience Development, Creative Service and Accounting teams
- Manage non-digital marketing programs and sponsorships (ex. for College Marketing) along with experiential marketing activations (ex. music festivals for awareness)
- Manage incoming project requests, timelines and stakeholder communication. May include activities like: Content brief creation for campaigns managed internally or with external agencies or third parties
- Partner with agency or creative team for asset requests and specifications
- Partner with the localization team for any translations
- Collaboration with Sony/SPE and the Theatrical Marketing team for any requested assets for Paid Media / Digital campaigns in market
- Analyze performance across all campaigns and make strategic optimizations to achieve and exceed brand and growth KPIs
- Contribute to the growth of Crunchyroll's owned digital/awareness footprint in UCANZ (US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, with focus on multicultural and college communities in the US)
- Work with tech/product teams related to multi-language Spanish-speaker streaming service needs (landing pages, show pages, SVOD content curation guides, and blog)
- Maintain weekly reporting dashboards and track KPIs that will be used to develop and support business strategy and provide insight to senior leadership, company partners, licensors, and partners; including channel growth, cost per metrics, content performance, social listening, competitive analysis, and response management reporting (Team effort in collaboration with SVOD marketing manager)
- Develop and contribute to global processes, marketing and social media best practices, with regular experimentation, research, and professional development; be willing to perform abilities beyond your areas of expertise
- Close collaboration with the larger Crunchyroll organization, including our in-house digital creative squad, global marketing teams, Sony Pictures Entertainment/Television, and external partners
About You:
- 5 years of marketing campaign experience (budget, concept, planning, integration, and reporting)
- Direct-to-consumer, entertainment industry or streaming platform marketing experience required
- Demonstrated expertise of marketing campaign management and technologies, how to tailor activations to your audiences, and what approaches works best to meet specific marketing goals
- Demonstrated experience developing business cases and ROI analyses that secure additional marketing investment
Experience leading projects and small teams from concept to completion - - and then, from distribution to analysis – you have a test/learn mentality and are maniacal about measurement and optimization
- Knowledge of the modern anime landscape, the Crunchyroll ecosystem, and broader gaming, geekdom, pop and college culture, as well an understanding of multicultural communities
- High degree of proficiency with Creative Asset Management systems
- Required Language: Fluent written and spoken English, Spanish a plus
- Required Education: BS required, ideally with background in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, PR, Film/TV, or related field
- Some national, and international travel, may be required

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
