Crunch (Harman) - Inc. is Hiring a VP Strategic Sourcing Near New York, NY

Report To:Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications:
  • Preferred 10-15 years of experience in related/similar role (including 3 years with VP experience)
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in supply chain, Business Administration, or similar business field 
  • Other relevant certifications (ex. CSCP - Certified Supply Chain Professional, CPSM - Certified Professional in Supply Management, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Emphasis on Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint), including data analytics/modeling with Excel/ Power BI
  • Preferred franchise and/or multi-unit/store experience
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects with overlapping deadlines
  • Preferred experience in Operations’ categories, including Technology/Software procurement, Utilities, Travel & Expense (T&E), Repair & Maintenance, Insurance, and Supplies
Salary:$150,000 to $175,000
Location:New York City Office. Current Hybrid Schedule(Subject to Adjust to Full Time Office in Future).
 Overview:
Crunch is seeking a functional leader responsible for the overall management of all Crunch strategic sourcing for our company and club network (both corporate & franchise owned). As the point contact you will provide insights into the vendor landscape that drive positive business outcomes, maximize value of investments and alignment to business objectives by determining the best vendors and value for the brand. This includes evaluation of products / materials within the use of each club, negotiating new and existing vendor contracts, and managing policies and processes to support the overall vendor lifecycle.

  • Have required excellent organizational and negotiating skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
  • Be able to develop strong relationships with varying stakeholders simultaneously, including the corporation, Franchise Owners/club leaders, and vendor community.
  • Understand and respond to strategic sourcing gaps and opportunities, as well as managing vendor performance and implement corrective action as deemed necessary.
  • Understand contractual relationships with vendors and ensure the correct partnerships are introduced to the brand that align with business objectives.
  • Introduce new projects, categories, and opportunities for Crunch buyers and stakeholders.
  • Lead a growing function holistically, while simultaneously performing hands-on supporting tasks while the team grows. 
As the successful candidate you must be able to provide knowledge and expertise across all aspects of the business which will span corporate, corporate-owned clubs & franchise-owned clubs specifically:
 
Specific duties of the role include:
Strategic Function Establishment & Related:
  • Establish, optimize & implement procurement COE strategies, including internal tools, processes & protocols to support organizational success.
  • Lead procurement/sourcing function, including coordinating with management team and department leaders to develop expansive, data-driven strategies and analytical metrics to measure procurement success and execute vendor vetting.
  • Lead monthly Procurement COE Council, presenting procurement projects savings and strategic initiatives to senior leadership & private equity investor leads for collaboration and strategic feedback.
  • Lead monthly Franchise Procurement Council, obtaining feedback to drive network program launches to 350 domestic locations. 
  • Build procurement function team aligned with long-term strategy.
 Vendor Management & Related:
  • Develop and execute RFI/ RFQ/ RFP processes/strategies through spend/pricing analytics, category research/expertise, and stakeholder collaboration with the goal of delivering optimal terms for both Franchisor and Franchisees.
  • Manage and maintain strategic supplier relationships through day-to-day support, formal Quarterly Business Reviews & contract cycle reviews.
  • Establish/renew key vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, contract review and securing credit terms.
  • Execute vendor partnership/program implementation and launches, including developing project roadmaps and drafting all internal/external communications.
  • Oversee operational purchases for ~45 corporate-owned clubs, collaborating cross-functionally for vendor management and launches.
  • Confidently manage and resolve complex negotiations and supply chain interruptions.
KPI Management & Data Analysis:
  • Manage robust procurement project tracker, tracking project opportunities (pipeline) and stages of active projects (from strategy to implementation)
  • Develop & maintain KPI metrics to track & quantify achievement of Crunch objectives for all procurement projects(ie. cost savings, revenue & cost avoidance through direct negotiations & competitive bids)
  • Develop financial models to quantify and analyze competitive proposals for complex expense categories, often utilizing large datasets from various sources with multi-year forecasting considerations, along with opportunity assessment scorecards.
  • Validate benefits secured through procurement initiatives are accurately activated via review of supplier invoicing and reporting review, as well as company financial statement allocations and classifications. 
  • Audit invoices & purchase details to ensure indirect suppliers are adhering to the terms and conditions of agreements.
