Fun, affectionate, and close-knit family in Santa Monica, seeking a collaborative and positive Mother’s Helper to join their loving family and support their two kids (a 3-year-old son and a 1-year-old daughter).

• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8 am to 6 pm, Guaranteed 30 hours a week (more likely 40-45 hrs). Set schedule but would appreciate the occasional flexibility - for travel and weekend help which all would be planned in advance.
• Pay: $30-$35 an hour PTO and other benefits such as monthly health stipend and gas reimbursements.

The ideal candidate is multifaceted - upbeat and calm, loving yet firm. Someone who is adaptable to the changing needs and moods of children - playful, creative, and silly on the playground while also able to hold firm boundaries lovingly when needed.

Above all else, the priority is to create a safe and loving environment that fosters positive growth. Which entails closely monitoring the kids' development and providing stimulating activities :

• Organizing educational and creative activities (Montessori, arts and crafts, sensory, storytime, etc)
• Arranging playdates and outings (trips to library, playground, holiday events)
• Driving to/from sports, art, and theater classes before and after school

In addition to childcare, the role will require light household duties such as (but not limited to):

• Tidying main areas and play areas that children occupy
• Cooking and meal prep (snacks, lunches, etc)
• Kids’ laundry - washing, folding, and putting away
• Managing kids supplies - refilling diapers, wipes, etc
• Errands and grocery shopping as needed
• Assistance with overall house management, supplies, and deliveries as needed

Must Haves:

• COVID Vaccinated
• CPR & First Aid training, current
• Non-smoker
• Clean driving record
• Knowledge of child development and stages of growth
• 3 years of nanny or ECE experience
• 3 years of toddler experience
• 3 years of multiples experience
• 3 - 5 references

Not mandatory but a big plus:

• Spanish or Vietnamese (trilingual family)
• Montessori, RIE or ECE
• Flu shot every season
