Job Description

Crum & Forster is looking for a Cloud Engineer for their Commercial Lines Organization Unit in Morristown, NJ location. This role requires experience in design, implementation, and support of enterprise class systems, both on the cloud and on premise.

What you will do:

• Identify and implement opportunities for automating existing processes to streamline operations and support functions.
• Troubleshoot problems, involving the appropriate resources and driving resolution of issues with focus on minimizing impact on running applications.
• Ability to drive completion of Cloud strategy initiatives.
• Collaborate well with others and canInfluence the team members and broader engineering groups in adopting best practices.
• Prepare and lead technical presentations or demonstrations. 
• Ability to identify the need and adopt new and standard technologies through research and implementation.

What you will bring to C&F:

• Highly self-motivated to explore automation opportunity in multi-tenant cloud platform.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2 years of experience as an AWS/Azure cloud engineer.
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of AWS services and standard, best practice configurations, including (but not limited to) EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, Route53, CloudWatch, S3, Lambda and Containerization.
• Strong working experience with cloud design and cost optimization.
• Proficient in Python and other scripting languages (YAML, JSON etc.)
• Ability to create and utilize AWS CloudFormation/Terraform templates, to automate creation of resources.
• Design and develop automation on event-driven AWS serverless computing platform
• Ability to translate architectural requirements to IaC.
• Experience working in AWS via the CLI and management console.
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Project Life Cycle Management and experience of working with AGILE Methodologies.
