Crown World is Hiring a Dental Lab Production Supervisor - Plaster & Die Trim (Monday through Friday 10:00am to 7:00pm) Near Louisville, KY

Production Supervisor~Supervises technicians and quality control staff in assigned sub-department; oversees production flow and quality control; serves as liaison between Crown World and designated divisions/departments. Working Shift:Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 6:00PM

Essential Functions:

  • Follows designated manager’s direction and ensures action items are carried out amongst direct reports.
  • Oversees the production flow and quality in assigned sub-department.
  • Monitors key performance indicators in order to make calculated decisions and improvements as necessary within sub-department.
  • Responsible for developing and establishing goals for assigned sub-department and staff.
  • Responsible for managing direct reports and hiring as needed.
  • Utilizes extensive technical knowledge to make decisions and accomplish department goals.
  • Mentors technician and quality control staff in order to meet performance expectations.
  • Ensures quality expectations and standard operating procedures are followed by working closely with quality control staff and technicians.
  • Ensures high productivity by problem solving and delegating turnaround time schedule.
  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Follows up on specific requests made by the doctors and ensures prescriptions and preferences are followed.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a dental background (dental technician or CDT) and at least two (2) years of team leadership or supervisory experience - PREFERRABLY IN PLASTER

Special Requirements/Certification:

  • Certified Dental Technician a plus.

  • Extensive knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within dental laboratories.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality control standards, practices, and applicable techniques.
  • Proficient knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain cohesive work teams.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Ability to clearly identify operational issues and formulate and convey solutions.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and convey technical information effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize duties and responsibilities effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to be reliable, dependable, and adaptable.
  • Ability to determine acceptability of work based on assigned criteria.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
