The Technician III will perform the following activities:
* Responsible for the day-to-day support of the DC National Guard to include servers, virtual hosts, storage, and other data center infrastructure. * Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer managed hardware, software, and peripheral devices .
* Monitor system and service performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
* Act as an escalation resource for lower level technicians.
* Verify all systems and applications align with appropriate compliance.
* Manage personal projects as required and may include projects within the team.
* Liaise with other technical teams to determine enterprise solutions or resolve complex problems.
* Conduct research on new infrastructure as needed throughout the environment. * Give direction and support to less experienced engineers, and encourage best practice. Education and Experience Requirements
* 5 years demonstrated windows server and vmware administration * Excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, ability to work in a team and work independently. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.Required Certifications
