Position Summary: The Grounds Maintenance Technician will have the primary responsibility of maintaining the landscaping and grounds for a 100-acre church campus in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform daily upkeep on the grounds and existing landscaping including mowing, edging, fertilizing, seeding, weed control, trimming and planting.
• Perform regular inspections for deficiencies and debris.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and performing minor repairs.
• Maintain safety procedures at all time.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Possess a valid Texas Driver’s License in good standing, or a driver’s license from another state in good standing, with the ability to obtain a Texas Driver’s License.
• Ability to safely operate a variety of landscape equipment, including but not limited to commercial mowers.
• Manual dexterity for standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to fifty pounds.
• Must complete a pre-employment background check, including a criminal background check.

Work Environment:

• Work is indoors/outdoors during all season and elements and not sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• Environment may include some exposure to physical or hazardous risks that require basic safety precautions (pesticides and fertilizers).
