Job Title: Network Engineer - Junior Level

Location: Colorado Springs, CO - Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB)

Position Overview:

Crossflow is seeking a junior level Network Engineer to support/assist Event Operations Leads by providing network monitoring, troubleshooting, and reporting during Missile Defense Agency (MDA) test events. The candidate will provide communication (Secure VoIP, Secure Chat) support during MDA test events and coordinate with MDA elements to gather and verify connectivity information required for MDA test events and create an Event Communications Baseline document for that MDA test event. The candidate will assist both event and network operations with design implementation, and support of LAN/WAN networks and systems and assist with the development and maintenance of network system and service configurations. Additional responsibilities will include documenting and troubleshooting network and system issues, creating, and maintaining network diagrams and documentation, and support the test and evaluation of network systems and services to reduce problems and make improvements. This position will require occasional travel (up to 10%) to support various hardware upgrades at remote sites, but not required in the first year of employment.

Requirements:

• Experience with Cisco routing and switching design and configuration.
• Experience deploying and managing TACLANEs or other cryptographic equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio.
• Potential for travel (CONUS and OCONUS - Up to 10% per year and up to 14 days at a time) and ability to obtain a US Passport

Desirable Skills:

• Experience deploying and managing firewalls (Palo Alto and/or Cisco ASA)
• Experience with the configuration, implementation, and utilization of network management and monitoring toolsets such as NetScout, NetScout Pulse, Wireshark, ExtraHop, SolarWinds, etc.
• Familiar with Windows and Linux workstation and server configuration and operation
• Familiar with multicast network configuration and operation
• Familiar with Cisco Unified Communications and AV endpoints such as VoIP Phones and VTC Units

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field, with 3 years of relevant experience or 8 years of equivalent work experience.
• Must have CompTIA Security or CISSP Certification
• Must have CCNA or higher Cisco professional certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Security Clearance: Current active DoD SECRET clearance is REQUIRED.

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year

Crossflow currently grants 11 federally observed paid holidays. In addition to these holidays, Crossflow offers a minimum of 2 weeks of paid time off (PTO) to all full-time employees. Employees may utilize PTO for any reason (sickness, vacation, personal day, etc.) and can carry over a maximum of 120 hours from year to year.
