Position Overview:
The Director, Compliance Initiatives plays a critical role in overseeing compliance-related change initiatives within the organization. This position involves conducting analysis, leading stakeholder meetings, researching regulatory requirements, developing action plans, and facilitating validation testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial analysis of compliance change tickets to determine the scope and impact of the proposed change, including the need for investigative testing.
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand current policies and procedures, and develop action plans to address compliance issues or risks.
  • Research regulatory requirements and analyze the existing control environment to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with line of business stakeholders to develop comprehensive action plans, identifying appropriate subject matter experts to execute each component.
  • Design and facilitate validation testing to verify the effectiveness of implemented changes and ensure compliance objectives are met.
  • Review validation testing results and confirm that the problem statement is adequately addressed, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Present key details of change tickets to the Compliance Risk Committee (executive compliance leaders) to obtain approval for closure.
  • Thoroughly document all aspects of the change process for the purpose of maintaining a comprehensive system of record.
  • Prepare and present information about completed and open change tickets to relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Conduct analysis, lead meetings, and develop action plans to address compliance issues or risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Experience in compliance management or a related field, with an understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
  • Experience in front-end mortgage operations and/or project management, highly preferred.
  • Experience with Encompass Loan Origination Software or similar loan origination systems, highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
