Certified Nursing Assistant – CNA – Long Term Care - LTC Alaska A major hospital in Alaska is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a team-oriented Long Term Care (LTC) unit. This is a position where a CNA can really make a difference in the lives of patients by providing a wide range of care for Long Term Care patients while maintaining a great work/life balance. Responsibilities
Provide quality basic care to the patients or residents according to the Standards of Care and the Residents Daily Care Plan
Participate and assist with activities with the residents
Collect specimens and assist with recording and reporting the results
Clean and disinfect the work area, equipment, patient and resident rooms
Requirements
Current state of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
New CNA graduates or CNAs that hold a current, unencumbered license from another state in the US must obtain the Alaska certification within 4 months of employment
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or it must be obtained within 4 months of hire
Successful completion of Green House Philosophy of Care, Caring Reliably, Culinary Training, ServSafe, Dining Assistant, and Alaska food handlers’ card within 4 months of hire
6 months of healthcare experience as a Resident Assistant, Nurse Aide, Nursing Assistant, or private care giver is preferred
