About You
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Analytics to lead our analytics offering and shape our data-driven strategies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data collection, marketing analytics, and a proven track record of delivering actionable insights that lead to successful advertising campaigns. As the Director of Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in driving the agency's growth and participating in client success.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor data analysts, providing guidance, setting performance expectations, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Employ vendors as an extension of the team.
Measurement Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive analytics strategy that aligns with our clients' business objectives and marketing goals. Establish suitable analytics solutions to ensure performance data can be reliably tracked and reported.
Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with account management teams to understand client needs, provide data-driven insights, and ensure that analytics solutions are aligned with client expectations. This role will work across multiple industries and clients.
Data Collection and Management: Ensure data accuracy and security by overseeing ETL processes of various data sources to create blended datasets.
Data Analysis: Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to extract actionable insights from large and complex datasets, with a focus on audience behavior, market trends, and campaign performance.
Customized Reporting: Create and deliver customized analytics reports and dashboards that provide clients with clear, meaningful, and actionable insights into their campaigns' performance. Create automated work flows where possible to expedite timelines.
Optimization: Continuously analyze campaign performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimization, making data-driven recommendations to enhance ROI.
Technology Integration: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in analytics, recommending and implementing tools and platforms that enhance our capabilities.
Data Privacy Compliance: Ensure that data handling and analytics practices comply with relevant data privacy regulations and industry standards.
Thought Leadership: Keep the agency at the forefront of analytics best practices, sharing industry insights, trends, and case studies both internally and externally.

Qualifications

Proven experience (10 years) in a senior analytics role within an advertising agency or a related industry.
Expertise in data analytics tools and platforms, specifically Google Marketing Platform (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, BigQuery, Looker Studio) and SQL databases. Experience in CRM management, Adobe Analytics, and/or Tableau a plus.
Understanding of major digital media channels such as programmatic display, paid search, SEO, paid social and content distribution, etc. Exposure to key media platforms, such as Campaign Manager 360, Google Ads, and Facebook.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Knowledge of advertising industry trends and best practices.
Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
