GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible and accountable for the smooth running of CROFT’s computer and information systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of CROFT’s information technology needs.

KEY ROLES

• Provide IT support for all of CROFT’s Windows based computer systems as well as several Android Tablets and iPads.
• As a key member of the CROFT Operations Team, work with all departments and staff in a collaborative and productive manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under limited supervision, support CROFT’s computer systems
• Ensure the security of company and client data, network access and backup systems
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to company policy
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Provide input regarding the annual IT budget. Ensure cost effectiveness and manage operations to the approved budget allocation.
• Represent the firm and adhere to the CROFT core values
• Effectively work with IT vendor relationships
• Install PCs, wireless networks, and peripheral devices (such as printers, scanners, mobile phones) related to desktop infrastructure, in accordance with company standards
• Provides advice and guidance to colleagues regarding desktop incidents/issues
• Maintain installed PCs, networks, and peripherals with routine maintenance
• Identify, log, and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systems
• Identify potential changes and system improvements to present to the leadership team for consideration and implementation
• Ensure that work is carried out within agreed upon service levels and in accordance with company requirements
• Create, maintain, and distribute reports of progress to senior leadership as requested
• Work with Cloud based and non-Cloud-based systems
• Explain and document technical issues/concerns in a clear way to leaders
• As the company and number of users grow, develop and use a call logging system to accurately record and resolve desktop service requests
• Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT work experience
• B.S. Degree in Information Technology, MIS or similar field, preferred
• Proficient understanding of computer support and troubleshooting, knowledge of Microsoft products and the ability to absorb desktop applications commonly used in architecture and engineering fields
• Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize projects and assignments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven problem-solving capability
• Ability to multi-task and effectively move from one IT issue to the next

WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in an office environment but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Stand or Sit or Lift - Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% and lift to 25 lbs.

Walk - Person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, cabinets, office machinery, etc. and outside the office to client meetings, job site visits, etc.

Use hands/fingers to handle or feel - Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a PC, calculator, copy machine, etc.

Talk / Hear - Person in this position frequently communicates with staff and vendors who have IT needs/inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
