Who You Are

We're seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineering Intern for Summer 2024 to join the Managed Security Services - Implementations team. This internship opportunity will be onsite and based in Plano, TX. You would participate in the set-up and onboarding of new customer security services. The Cybersecurity Engineering Intern collaborates with customers to onboard various endpoint technologies and establish reporting to Critical Start’s CORR Platform. 

The ideal candidate will leverage their knowledge to provide excellent customer service in a dynamic and inclusive environment. If you possess the qualities to contribute to one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity firms in North America, we'd like to connect. 

What You Will Be Doing?

• Acquire familiarity and proficiency in technologies such as Palo Alto Networks XDR, CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Splunk, and other endpoint/SIEM solutions.
• Shadow the implementation processes for various vendor security solutions for customers.
• Learn the deployment, customization, and configuration of agents for customers to deploy in their environments. 
• Provide assistance to customers in the best practices of deploying agents. 
• Gain knowledge about the maturity progression of security implementation in alignment with best practices. 
• Troubleshoot API interactions between vendor dashboards and CORR.
• Identify opportunities and strategies to automate any and all aspects of endpoint agent deployment. 

What You Will Bring?

Required Qualifications: 

• Currently enrolled as a student with a satisfactory GPA in an accredited 4-year university program leading to a bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with Security products from Microsoft, Splunk, Devo, Sentinel One, CrowdStrike, or similar endpoint and SIEM technology.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in building presentations.
• Understanding of quality control concepts in change management.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn through instruction as well as hands-on experience in a lab environment. 

Desired Qualification: 

• Scripting capabilities are a plus (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc.).
