CRH is Hiring a Senior Retail Director - PPG Arena Near Pittsburgh, PA

Job Description

Aramark Sports & Entertainment seeks to fill the role of Senior Director of Retail at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The incumbent will oversee all facets of the retail business, encompassing NHL and non-NHL operations, procurement, marketing, and staffing across multiple physical and online outlets. Consistent collaboration with the Pittsburgh Penguins marketing team is essential to ensure that promotions effectively drive store traffic, boost sales, and enhance brand visibility.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the retail business at PPG Arena, managing operations, marketing, and client relations for the Pittsburgh Penguins' regular and special events.
• Supervise labor management, offering guidance to managers and frontline associates.
• Utilize reporting tools to analyze inventory, sales data, and the status of merchandise in designated categories.
• Review and implement pricing actions and location consolidation for optimal sales potential, recommending liquidation strategies as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with the client marketing team to align purchasing strategies with upcoming promotions, events, and marketing initiatives. Develop promotional activities for key product collections. 
• Collaborate with onsite retail team on product ideas and development.
• Create innovative in-arena marketing plans, timelines, and proactively ensure timely project delivery. 
• Directly manage the design and execution of in-store marketing promotions, events, and campaigns, including signage, POP displays, and floor arrangements.
• Partner with the HR department to recruit staff, ensuring appropriate staffing for events within budget constraints.
• Develop and implement customer service programs and product knowledge training.
• Ensure proper store opening and closing procedures, including cash and credit card accountability and adherence to security requirements.
• Address and resolve any customer issues.
• Conduct periodic checks on merchandise ticketing and supervise physical inventories, addressing count discrepancies as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field preferred.
• A minimum of four (4) years of high-level professional experience in retail marketing, preferably in the sports industry.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven record of successfully managing and developing cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience in developing and executing effective retail marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Experience in analyzing sales data, market trends, and consumer research to inform marketing decisions.
• Proficiency in E-commerce and online marketing tools, including Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, and social media marketing tools.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask on simultaneous projects with varying deadlines.
