The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and go-to-market strategy for digital water solutions. This includes managing products throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product, customer, and market requirements, defining the product vision and long-term roadmap, and working closely with the commercial and operational functions to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Key Responsibilities
The Product Manager will work at both a strategic level, managing Oldcastle's competitive position and product performance, and at the tactical level managing product lifecycle activities and commercialization efforts. Duties Include

  • Analyze current product catalog and steer commercial direction in terms of identifying core product lines, pricing, and strategy
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap, establishing the value proposition for products and solutions across all markets
  • Assist in partner evaluation and vetting for future product lines within digital water solutions
  • Consult with internal teams including IT to assess technology and platform fit within Oldcastle systems for potential commercial partners
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing Communications, and Marketing Intelligence teams to gather Voice of Customer to address the key product performance needs
  • Lead in identifying, pursuing, and supporting new market opportunities across all market segments for the product line(s)
  • Analyze & benchmark the product offering of key competitors for gaps or opportunities in our product line
  • Create further reach within the targeted market sector and assist in identifying new business opportunities outside of the current customer group
  • Provide technical support to customers and commercial teams, visit customers when necessary to assist in and or pursue opportunities and/or problem-solving strategies, develop training modules for commercial and field teams and develop outline for marketing materials

Competencies, Education and Experience

  • Team player with effective interpersonal skills and an open, collaborative style
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator who can balance external and internal objectives
  • High initiative and results driven; an entrepreneurial self-starter who operates with speed, simplicity, and passion to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 5 years professional experience, with 3 years in product management and/or product marketing
  • Experience in digital and/or water solutions preferred
  • Travel is expected to be ~35%
