Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a Catering Sales Coordinator. The Catering Sales Coordinator is a key position responsible for selling revenue-generating catered events including, but not limited to social events and small group meetings. In addition, the position will detail, service, and plan for the success of these events with the collaboration of departments to achieve maximum profitability and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will be creative, a problem solver, have a proven record of being a team player, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and the team.

This position consists of a 40-hour work week, a full-time hourly role

Job Responsibilities

• Handles all group requirements for contracted meetings and social events as assigned by the Director of Sales. This will include creating proposals, finalizing catering menus, creating banquet event orders by utilizing meeting room specifications and group resumes.
• Maintains working relationship with all clients from initial file turnover through all pre-planning stages of the program, up to group arrival day and during event.
• Provides detailed communication and timely follow-through with the in-house staff to ensure client requirements are met and satisfied.
• Interfaces as needed with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of customer service in pursuit of complete guest satisfaction.
• Participate in site tours and planning meetings for potential and definite business.
• Performs additional tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.
• Assist/Provide Catering Director, General Manager II, and National Account Director with sales data, calendars, etc
• Tasks and responsibilities may be added or revised based on the volume of business and the need for the work to be completed at the present time. 

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, events and/or catering.
• Courteous, friendly personality and professional appearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals.
• Proven attention to details and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is essential.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
