Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our properties in Waterloo. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of our properties, maintaining tenant satisfaction, and maximizing property revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance, and tenant relations.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Market available units to attract prospective tenants and conduct thorough screenings to select qualified applicants.
- Negotiate lease agreements and enforce lease terms.
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, including scheduling contractors and overseeing work quality.
- Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, leases, and contracts using property management software.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy rates and rental income.
- Stay updated on local laws and regulations related to property management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Property Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of property management principles and practices.
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing property management.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license.
Note: This position requires occasional travel between properties in Waterloo and surrounding communities.
Property maintenance skills are highly desirable for this role.
