CRF Behavioral Healthcare is Hiring a Program Director - Mental Health Near El Cajon, CA

Office Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 10:30 to 6:30 pm, Tuesday. This is a salaried, exempt position.

Pay Rate: $90,000 to $100,000 per year

Education: Master’s degree or Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in a mental health-related field, such as Psychology, Social or Counseling required

Licensure: Must have an active license as an LMFT, LCSW or LPCC with the California Board of Behavioral Science for at least 2 years is required

As a Program Director:

Responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations of Step Forward East, to include all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, staff management, client care, and quality assurance and control.

  • Monitor budget, cost reports and related fiscal matters for Step Forward East. Establishes automated procedures for re-occurring expenses. Approves time sheets for program staff.
  • Implement and monitor services according to HHSA BHS contract Statement of Work, OPOH and CRF policies and procedures.
  • Participate in County meetings and County workgroups as needed. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning with our identified partners, i.e. Social Services, Welfare to Work staff, Family Stabilization, and other treatment providers connected to contract compliance and serving WTW clients.
  • Provide effective leadership for program staff to include the full spectrum of personnel management functions, including employment, training, motivation, evaluations, performance counseling and development.
  • Acts as a role model for client care as well as provides hands-on assistance for program.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions with clients and members of clients’ families in a timely and professional manner in Spanish and English as well as re-evaluates client’s service plans when needing extensions.
  • Monitor productivity and units of service in accordance with contract.
  • Oversee billing entered into the Cerner MIS database to ensure that it is timely and accurate.
  • Ensure that Step Forward East, in coordination with CRF QI department, submit timely incident reports as required by County Contract and OPOH.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with WTW clients, co-occurring substance use disorders experiences assisting hard-to-serve populations such as SMI, SED, SUD
  • A minimum of 2 years of management/supervisory experience within a CWBHC required
  • Bilingual Spanish/Arabic/Farsi strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and an ability to handle high stress and fast-paced environments
  • Experience providing MediCal/Medicaid services
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of County Health and Human Services requirements including documentation and writing assessments in an EHR is required, preferably with Cerner EHR.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Word and Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
  • A valid California driver's license in good standing and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. In addition, proof of insurance is required prior to driving personal vehicles on company business.
  • Ability to pass criminal/background clearance
