Responsibilities:
The overall Responsibility of this position is being the assistant to the General Manager of the Restaurant and assisting in all of the day-to-day tasks. Enforcing Management Rules and Terms. Promoting the success of servers and insuring quality of experience of all guests.
You will act as a bartender, barback, busser, runner, expediter, event coordinator/host, opener/closer and manage shifts, cleaner. You will move tables, chairs in preparation for events. Set up buffets and other event set-ups.
You will also help with inventory, training and setting expectations.
You may even find yourself doing odd jobs, helping the kitchen with prep for big events, basic maintenance.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on food and drink selections
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area and restaurant
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Monitor and manage inventory of bar supplies and ingredients
- Handle transactions and process payments accurately
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Skills (Not Required We Will Teach):
- Strong math skills for accurately calculating drink prices, handling cash, and making change
- Knowledge of restaurant and bartending procedures, including mixing techniques and drink recipes (if 21 )
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple customer orders simultaneously
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for patrons
- Experience in banquet or catering settings is a plus
- Understanding of food safety guidelines for handling and serving beverages
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Lifting and moving kegs, tables, chairs, etc. etc.
- Kindness and compassion for coworkers and a strong acceptance of the fact that you are required to help servers make as much tipped pay as possible even though you are not paid in tips yourself.
