Crescent Multimedia Solutions is Hiring a Low Voltage Technician Near Metairie, LA

Crescent Multimedia Solutions is searching for reliable , hardworking, driven individuals in the Greater New Orleans area to join our team. We are looking for experienced Low Voltage Technicians. Who should apply? Individuals with at least two years of experience in the following areas: structural cabling, fire alarm, access control, intercom systems, fiber optics and AV installation. If you posses an inclination for problem solving, the tenacity to resolve issues, a willingness to collaborate, and pride in your work, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Self-manage your on-site activity during all phases of the installation and configuration of integrated residential technology systems, under the supervision of a lead install technician & field project manager.
  • Complete daily and weekly assignments as planned and effectively communicate project needs, change requests, issues and status through the appropriate channels.
  • Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, site supervisors, project partners, and other trades.
  • Demonstrate the company’s commitment to superior service through sensitivity to client requests and needs.
  • Installation and termination of various AV cables

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams and user manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and/or via email, phone, or text to varied audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure, assess multiple demands, and manage priorities.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools used to complete physical installations of speakers, displays, equipment racks, and ventilation systems.

  • Positive can-do attitude with the ability to wear many hats & remain flexible.
  • Ability to achieve timeline goals independently without micromanagement, while escalating feedback or issues accordingly.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial electronic systems, installation or service.
  • High school diploma or GED required; a formal education in electronics or related field from a trade school is a plus.

Bonus:

  • AVIXA CTS-CTI-CTD certifications, DSP audio and/or video calibration, and AMX/Crestron/Extron control systems programming and/or certification in various recognized institutions is preferred.
  • OSHA-10
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new and existing construction.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must own basic hand/power tools. Some tools/testers provided.
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching and lifting up to 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to work within varied conditions some which may be small or confined.
  • Flexibility to travel or work overtime as necessary; some overnight stays required.
  • Valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
