Restaurant Operations IT Support Specialist

Creole Cuisine Restaurant Group is in search of a talented individual to join our IT Support Specialist team. We are looking for someone who is hands on and committed to ensuring great guest service and excellent support to operations. The person selected for this position must have reliable transportation to travel between restaurants as needed.

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our Restaurant Team Members with hardware, software, and technical problems. Specialists generally work directly with the end user and must effectively communicate answers in a way the Team Members can understand. The successful candidate will possess a strong understand of Restaurant Operations combined with a love of technology.

Description of Responsibilities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively communicate with Restaurant Team Members over the phone or in location to resolve any POS/Technical issues.
  • Point-Of-Sale experience specifically with Posi Touch/Shift4 and Aloha.
  • Experience with Restaurant 365 / Compeat.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Product's, Windows 10/11, Office365, PC Imaging, Laptop Troubleshooting / Repair. Apple (iMac / iPad)
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki Networking Equipment and Mobile Device Management.
  • Create, update, and maintain IT knowledge base articles.
  • Quickly adapt to new technology to ensure immediate support and serviceability.
  • Coordinate and support installation of new technologies including printers, security systems, and office networking.
  • Resource for all departments to answer questions and provide guidance.
  • Work with accounting to ensure the POS systems are processing credit cards timely and accurately and that all funds are received timely.
  • Ensure company meets PCI compliance guidelines and standards.
  • Manage relationship with restaurant telephone support vendor including all internet functionality.
  • Manage the installation of all technology and database implementation at new restaurant openings.
  • Experience communicating and coordinating with external vendors.
  • Work with and keep confidential information.
  • Ensure end user satisfaction through effective communication and first-time resolution.
  • On-call status for emergency issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by IT Management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant business including POS, Food Cost Systems and Labor Systems
  • Two-year college degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with project management, timelines and budgets preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred
  • Must possess a sense of urgency with a strong ability to multi-task
  • Must be capable of tracking and analyzing information
  • Must be organized and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Has dependable and reliable transportation and is willing to travel to restaurants when needed
  • Cell phone stipend paid monthly
