Overview

Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a Security Manager at the journeyman level to support the Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) Integration Directorate at Hanscom AFB, MA. The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications Integration Directorate (AFNWC/NC) mission is to deliver integrated NC3 capabilities war-fighters use every day to deter and assure. The Directorate ensures ongoing NC3 programs, legacy systems and new capabilities are fully integrated as part of the Air Force's overall effort to sustain, modernize, and recapitalize the nuclear enterprise. The Directorate serves as an integrator ensuring that current and future NC3 capabilities across the spectrum are being evaluated and considered in concert.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

Perform analytical, planning, advisory, operational, or evaluative work that has as its principal purpose the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.

Task include but are not limited to:

    Recommending, evaluating, maintaining, and/or operating systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
  • Recommending and implementing policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites for reliability, trustworthiness, character, and loyalty to the United States.
  • Providing security support to the NC Directorate's controlled facilities to include, but not limited to:
    • Exercising delegated access control to secure areas, which include Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs).
    • Assisting in opening and closing controlled areas to SCIFs and SAPFs.
    • Assisting in arming and disarming facility alarm systems.
    • Assisting in accomplishing end-of-duty day security.
    • Providing expertise in DoD security procedures, inclusive of classified transmission, protection of incoming mail, courier requirements, security incident reporting, and security violation.

Preferred Experience:

  • Maintaining PERSEC database for CE, PR, investigation updates, and personnel security incidents.
  • Knowledge of DISS and ability to process VAR's, taskers, clearance verification, and initiating internal service requests as needed.
  • Knowledge of EApp and NBIS (previously EQip) for initiating clearance upgrade investigation and PR's.
  • Overseeing foreign travel program.
  • Overseeing and providing proper notification of all inbound and outbound personnel.
  • Ensuring all AF 2583 and AF 2587 letters are properly documented for access.
  • Processing DD 2875 requests for system access requests.
  • Performing monthly audits for proper coding of established positions.
  • Performing audits of open investigations for trends and customer updates.
Education, Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
  • Minimum Education BA/BS Degree or MA/MS Degree
  • Minimum 3 to 10 years of related experience is required.
  • Ability to work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel if required.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Position may require lifting of objects not to exceed 25 lbs.
  • May be required to walk/travel across work location.
  • May be required to stand for extended period of time.
