Position Summary
The Life Commissions Specialist role is responsible for gathering and maintaining Carrier & Product Information
and ensuring commission payments are made in a timely and accurate manner

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Verifies accuracy of payments and information in database during reconciliation process

• Reconcile commission payments timely and accurately.

• Changes status of payments on deposit site as progress advances on each payment to completion

• Maintains database of commission payments

• Corrects incorrect commission rates during reconciliation.

• Recalculates commission on existing orders when necessary.

• Ensures non-commissionable items and overrides are accurate.

• Ensures clients contact database is up to date.

• Runs an Account Receivable report after completing reconciliation to verify accuracy of the reconciliation.

• Follow up on unanswered AR requests according to department guidelines.

• Notifies appropriate party of commission issues and challenges.

• Accurately enter numeric/alphanumeric data information into the corporate database.

• Triages department email. Establishes and maintains proactive communication and rapport with both

• Supports timely resolution of client inquiries.

• Collaborates with peers to identify process improvement opportunities.

• Knowledgeable of contracting hierarchy structure.

• Ability to understand complex life commission payout structure.

• Basic understanding of life commissions cut-off and payout documents for all carriers.

• Knowledgeable of excel spreadsheets.

• Learn to be proficient in maintaining data inside of internal Carrier & Product Database.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Life Commissions and various pay structures.

• General office skills such as mail processing, filing, copying, data entry, scanning, indexing, etc.

• Experience handling complex commissions issues.

• Must have great telephone and customer service skills.

• Excellent organization skills and detail oriented

• Must be a team player.
